“The best part of having a Career Development Center is that it gives students a place to learn about themselves. They can work on resumes and prepare for the future as well,” says Barbara Gregory, Director of Career Services.

Whether it is assessments to narrow down different careers, looking at current job postings, or learning about skills at a workshop, Career Development is truly beneficial to all.  There is even a credited class, Career Development as a Life Process (CAR-100), in which students are presented with various ways to assess themselves and find out about different choices and careers. The benefits of having a Career Development Center are limitless.

“The Career Development Center has something for every single student; whether it is a resource, a connection, a link, information, or materials,” explains Gregory.

  1. This is a very useful service that is offered at Carroll. I can tell you from experience I have looked at websites to build my resume up to a level that employers want today and they wanted a hefty fee in return. This free service that is offered by Carroll is worth its weight in…. well, dollars.
