Carroll Community College will host its annual American Red Cross blood drive on November 13th.
According to Heather Diehl, coordinator of experiential learning and student organizations, Carroll has been hosting blood drives for about 10 years now. It is an easy way for students, faculty, and staff to take time out of their day on campus and donate blood. The school’s goal for each blood drive is to get 27 people to come out and donate; this past blood drive they had 26. For this coming blood drive, Carroll is hoping that they will meet and surpass the goal of 27 donors.
Diehl commented, “Donating blood is a great way to give back to the community and make a difference and save lives.”
Although Carroll does not run the blood drive, they do provide the location and times. They also have at least 2 students helping out to check people in. Wednesday’s blood drive is being held in room M157 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
As for next semester, CAB will be hosting a blood drive February 26-27, during the Spring semester.
For more information on the blood drive, students can go to the Student Life Office in room A118.
